The PRZMEXAMS installation package, available here for download, employs the freely-available, USEPA PRZM (Pesticide Root Zone Model) and EXAMS (Exposure Analysis Modeling System) models including a graphical user interface that facilitates putting chemical- and use-specific input values into the proper positions in the PRZM input (inp) and the EXAMS chemical files. Users are strongly encouraged to print and follow the instructions in the readme file before installing the software. This package is intended only for facilitating installation of the PRZM/EXAMS model and is not intended to provide guidance on how to use the model for a specific application. Guidance on using PRZM/EXAMS for ecological risk assessments is available from USEPA/OPP/EFED.
The pe4 shell has been updated by SRC to extract benthic sediment concentrations from Table 20 of report.xms (Total Media Concentrations). This information has become increasingly important for review of sediment-binding pesticides. The pe4v03 shell has a new option to select the sediment concentrations as part of the standard output and writes a new output file for benthic sediment. The download can be saved to the same directory as the original pe4 shell.
